Current Stevens students are eligible for a Hoboken Public Library card with their Stevens ID (DuckCard) and a copy of their current course schedule.

Hoboken Public Library (HPL) is a great place to check out popular reading, as well as audio-visual materials such as movies and audiobooks. The main branch is located on the corner of 5th Street and Park Avenue (across from Church Square Park) and the branch library address is 124 Grand Street. While the library buildings are open to the public, many of the services require the use of a library card.

How to Get Your Library Card: Hoboken and Jersey City

Stevens students living on or off campus:

As a student of a Hoboken college, you are eligible for a one-year Non-Resident Hoboken Public Library card. Show your DuckCard plus your current course schedule to apply for this card, which allows you to check out print books and use the app to borrow ebooks and audiobooks.

If you live off campus in Hoboken or Jersey City and receive mail at your address:

You are potentially eligible for a Resident library card. Bring photo ID and proof of residency such as a bill mailed to your home to either the Hoboken Public Library or the Jersey City Free Public Library. The Priscilla Gardner Main Library is located at 472 Jersey Ave, and there are several other JCFPL branch locations.

More information about getting a Hoboken Public Library card is available on the HPL website, or email hobkcirc@bccls.org.
