Hello! The deposit must be in cash, so that we can return it when you return the key to the room. Availability of the study rooms varies at different times during the semester, but usually are not filled except during exam periods. It helps to come in earlier in the day during these busy times. They are quite easy to reserve: most of the group study rooms can be reserved at Study & Meeting Rooms, and individual rooms are reserved by speaking with the front desk worker (under the sign that says "Circulation Services"). For any rooms, when you come in to use them, give them your student ID and deposit.
For more information, including how to make reservations and the library's policies on the use of these rooms, see Study & Meeting Rooms.
